As many of you know, this was the first year NAIOP participated in this fundraising effort and we must say, it was a refreshing way to raise money for such an important cause. We had 2 teams: The Seasoned Leaders (with 4 strong participants) who finished 11th in overall fundraising and the Developing Leaders (with 10 strong participants) finishing 4th in the team competition. The combined NAIOP team totals place our organization 3rd overall for this event.
The results are in: THE DEVELOPING LEADERS WON!
The Developing Leaders raised $3,799 and the Seasoned Leaders raised an additional $2210 for a total of $6,009 in fundraising for the entire event. In total, $103,822 was raised to benefit Colorado Youth at Risk and Byrne Urban Scholars, two Denver based charities focused on the needs of "at-risk" youth.
On behalf of the NAIOP Developing Leaders Committee, we wish to extend a huge Thank You to all who participated and the generous donations made to support our teams! The money raised from this event will allow for these charities to continue operating in the coming year supporting the underprivileged youth in our community. We look forward to continuing our efforts next year where will see if the Developing Leaders can hold onto their title!
