NAIOP Supports Lee National Denim Day - Friday, October 8, 2010

Did you know that one in every eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime? That's one every three minutes. There's something you can do to fight back against this disease, and we are asking for your help.

Lee National Denim Day is one of the largest single-day fundraisers for breast cancer. On Oct. 8, millions of people nationwide will slip into their favorite jeans and make a $5 donation to support the Women's Cancer Programs of EIF, who are bringing together world-class scientists to develop an early detection blood test and working in Lee Labs nationwide to find less toxic, more effective treatments for breast cancer patients.

Work Options for Women - Women Cook! Dining for a Difference

Now in its 6^th year, Work Options for Women is excited to once again promote this successful fundraising event to support the WOW program’s “recipe for success.”  The WOW program combines hands-on food service training at two food service establishments with case management, job placement, and follow-up services, implementing what research shows are best practices in job-training to help students move from poverty to self-sufficiency.

CREW Denver 9th Annual Women of Influence Awards

On October 23rd, CREW Denver will hold its 9th Annual Women of Influence Awards event at the Grand Hyatt from 11am to 1pm.  This signature event honors accomplished women from the field of commercial real estate in four award categories including the Woman of Influence award.  A number of NAIOP members and member firms have been nominated for the 2008 Women of Influence Awards and in October, past Woman of Influence award winner, Mary Sullivan, CB Richard Ellis, will present the title award to this year's Woman of Influence.  For more information on how to register to attend or sponsor this exciting event please visit www.crewdenver.org and click on the Women of Influence button.

NAIOP partners with CREW to teach teen girls about careers in commercial real estate

NAIOP is very excited to be a part of CREW Careers, a nationwide program that is in its second year in Denver.  CREW Careers reaches out to teen girls to teach them about the possibilities of a future career in commercial real estate.  The event will take place on March 20th.  To read more about this educational program and to register, click here.
