NAIOP Colorado partners with ULI Colorado to present Speaker Event Series

On Wednesday, April 2^nd, international expert and senior fellow at the Washington D.C.-based Brookings Institute, Anthony Downs, will speak at the ULI Luncheon on jittery financial markets.  His new ULI book Niagara of Capital: How Global Capital Has Transformed Housing and Real Estate Markets, analyzes the role easy capital played in the collapse of the sub prime market, the credit crunch and stock market decline.  In his book, Mr. Downs further outlines other scenarios threatening the flow of capital into real estate, including a major rise on interest rates; continued sharp declines in the value of the dollar; a dramatic deterioration of the worldwide economy; and a recession in the U.S.  All registrants will receive a free copy of Niagara of Capital.  For registration information and event details, please visit www.ulicolorado.org or call 303.893.1760. 

Speaker event series: Dollars and Sense of Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is the topic d’jour, but how can it be made practical and profitable for real estate professionals?  Come learn from a luncheon talk sponsored by ULI Colorado featuring John L. Knott, Jr., of the Noisette Project, North Charleston, SC. 

As co-founding President and CEO and co-founder of the Noisette Company, LLC, Mr. Knott leads the team collaborating on the sustainable restoration of 3,000 acres of the city’s historic urban core and parts of the former Charleston Naval Base.

Come learn how sustainable development is planned, financed, marketed, and --most importantly -- how it pays off.  Introductory speaker Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper will also discuss the city's Greenprint Denver program.

The event will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 11:am to 1pm at the Westin Tabor Center.  Seating is limited for what promises to be an outstanding event.
